The Walk – Created by Orlando Leibovitz and Andrew Elijah Edwards
The Walk was exhibited as part of Currents New Media 2018.
The video, an animation of Orlando’s drawings, reveals a figure floating down to Earth and presents his experiences as he walks through the landscape of life. Like walkers before him, our protagonist finds that his walk is as much an inner journey as an outer exploration, that it is not just a physical pastime, but a pilgrimage, that his walk reveals insights as well as views, that it is creative as well as corporal.
The video is mixed media, utilizing a combination of digital and hand drawn images.
